Job Description

Our client is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to serving Asian Pacific Islanders and other under-served communities with substance abuse services throughout Los Angeles County. Programs and services are provided to all individuals regardless of race or ethnicity. Under the general supervision of the Administrative Director, the Information System Administrator is responsible for the supervision and development of information technology (IT), Vehicle and Building operations within the agency. This includes planning, research and development, overseeing the daily operations and the supervision of agency wide employees when it comes to the IT, vehicle and admin operations.

DUTIES ANDRESPONSIBILITIES:

1. PLANNING. RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT IT OPERATIONS FOR THE ENTIRE AGENCY (40%):

a. Coordinate Design and innovate the architectural network for the agency.

b. Coordinate Design and improve security system to protect the agency from system intrusion, virus/spyware, spam, and the agency intellectual property.

c. Develop solutions for inefficiencies related to IT operations including telecommunication and any technology that pertains to the agency.

d. Coordinate Collaboration with Management Team in the implementation of IT Operations.

e. Product and cost analysis of new systems IT projects such as agency databases, computer labs and agency wide system purchases, including, review current changes in the market with regards to software and hardware developments.

f. Assist in the development of funding for IT development.

2. COORDINATE DAILY IT, VEHICLE AND BUILDING OPERATIONS FOR THE ENTIRE AGENCY (40%):

a. Develop, facilitate and maintain the agency local area network, accounting system, computer centers, virtual workspace environment, EHR and similar IIS entities.

b. Develop, facilitate and maintain all agency facilities.

c. Interface and innovate admin operations with outside entities such as: Funding sources, banks, telephone companies, web related entities, and operation related vendors.

d. Develop and maintain operations manual for IT, Vehicles and Building with annual plans, risk management, appropriate policy and procedures.

3. SUPERVISION OF ADMIN OPERATIONS FOR THE ENTIRE AGENCY (20%):

a. Help supervision of all administrative staff schedules, assignments and performance.

b. Supervision of implementation and installation of all operational tools in the agency.

c. Help supervise the staff's usage of systems and equipment with regards to security including patient record safety/HIPAA.

d. Orientate and train all staff on IT, Vehicle and Building related matters.

e. Develop and train staff in basic troubleshooting techniques on admin operations.

f. Train staffs to assure efficient and proper use of operational technology tools across all location including virtual.

g. Train Staff in proper Internet and e-mail usage.

QUALIFICATIONS (SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES):

1. REQUIREMENTS:

a. Four-year college education related to field or two (2) years of work experience related to position.

b. Permanent resident or U.S. Citizen; proof of work eligibility upon hiring.

c. Valid California Driver’s License and current automobile liability insurance.

d. Must have at least three (3) of recovery or a drug free lifestyle as of the date of application.

e. Must be able to work with people of diverse cultural, educational, social, and economic backgrounds.

f. Expert Knowledge of the use and operation of Macintosh/PC operating systems.

g. The ability to train staff on computer and Internet techniques.

h. Extensive Experience using Availity, Electronic Health Records and Apple network architecture

i. Extensive Experience on Advance Pivot tables.

2. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

a. Bilingual or bicultural capabilities with Asian/Pacific languages and cultural groups.

b. 5+ years’ experience in EXYM, IBHIS and SAGE
