The Perioperative Finance Manager coordinates and directs the business and financial functions of the department including the supervision of department staff, developing and monitoring department budgets and financial reports for the Operating Room (OR), Ambulatory Surgical Unit (ASU), PACU, and CPD. Reports directly to the Director of Surgical Services. Responsible for developing and maintaining methods of tracking, monitoring, and analyzing data for process improvement. Recommends and coordinates implementation of changes designed to ensure optimum utilization of resources and systems in order to facilitate change. Conducts and coordinates special projects, providing recommendations and implementation of improvement strategies as necessary or requested. Oversees financial functions and ensures compliance with all regulatory agencies.
Specifications: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance and a minimum 3 years related work experience. Master's degree in Business Administration. Must have demonstrated ability in decision making, sound judgment and excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Must have strong working knowledge of capital budgeting as well as purchasing and supply inventory controls. Must be familiar with medical billing practices and OR scheduling. Strong working knowledge of perioperative information systemcomputer programs, database manipulations, and applications as required. Must be able to prioritize multiple projects.
