Brokerage Inside Sales Representative - College Intern

Cardinal Logistics operates one of the largest, most diverse dedicated fleets in the US. Our logistics experts work with clients to improve transportation network visibility, increase fleet utilization, drive efficiency, and reduce cost by developing and implementing customized transportation solutions that best fit their needs.

Responsibilities:

The Brokerage Inside Sales Representative Intern will learn to seek and identify sales leads and pitch services to new clients within a brokerage environment. This person will be learning how to build key client relationships, identify business opportunities, negotiate, and close business deals while maintaining and gathering knowledge of current market conditions.

• Build a profitable book of business by generating and developing new business opportunities
• Negotiate, build and maintain long-term partnerships with both new and existing clients
• Generate leads by cold calling potential clients, understanding client needs and identifying sales opportunities
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all of Cardinal’s products and services, as well as those of our competitors
• Close new business and meet monthly/quarterly/annual sales targets
• Make timely and professional decisions while maintaining service standards and profitably
• Communicate promptly and efficiently, providing clear, concise and consistent status updates, with external clients as well as internal support teams

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a college program or recently graduated
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• High level problem solving and written/verbal communication skills are a must to succeed.
