Position Description: CNC Operator/Programmer
Reports to: Facilities Manager
Summary: The CNC Programmer/Operator is responsible for producing machined parts by programming, setting up, and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine. We have an older Haas 3 Axis CNC in house.
Program, run and create completed parts
Spends time studying shop orders, design drawings, engineering plans, materials, specifications, reference planes, locations of surfaces, and machining parameters
Create a drawing for the requested part and converts it into the program for the CNC.
Maintains area and equipment clean
Can provide basic service for CNC
Provide drafting support for Engineering Change Requests
Must have minimum of 2 years of CNC Programming/Operation experience
Injection mold tooling experience and tool making
Experience with CAD/CAM to develop machining programs.
Must be able to work independently with little direction as well as in a team when needed
Strong organizational skills
Has the ability to strategize and "think outside of the box"
Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
Must be able to multi-task effectively, display a positive attitude and demonstrate a high degree of flexibility in an environment where priorities can change rapidly
Must be able to lift a minimum of 60 pounds
Preferred Additional Qualifications
Fluency in Spanish, both verbal and written a plus
Experience running an older Haas three axis CNC
Experience using SolidWorks
Additional machine shop skills (Lathe, Mill, Welding)
Compensation & Benefits
Salary $15-$20/hr DOE
