Capitol Care South is a community mental health provider and is looking to hire a Clinical Director who will be responsible for the quality of clinical care and the appropriateness of clinical programs. The Clinical Director will report to the Executive Director and manage a team of coordinators, facilitators, and therapists to meet the clinical needs of the agency. Requirements: Education and/or Experience Minimum requirement of Master's in nursing with at least 3 years post-Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner certification experience Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Must be 18 years or older and be able to pass a criminal background check. Additionally, an individual must have a valid driver’s license. Must be able to successfully complete required training which includes approved First Aid/CPR and Crisis Management. Must be able to provide verification of Mantoux tuberculin skin test, or submit a statement from his or her physician certifying that he or she poses no threat of tuberculous contagion before he/she is allowed to come in contact with individuals being served and other personal, and annually thereafter. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Monitor Staff to ensure demonstration of appropriate clinical and professional practices, compliance with agency policies and procedures, and adherence to regulatory standards. Complete daily routine including but not limited to the review of time cards, Dashboard, Incident Reports, Progress Notes, and any other documentation. Monitors and completes all tasks assigned within Case Workload on or before the established due date with a focus on adequate and timely treatment plan reviews. Abide by confidentiality laws, including the safeguarding of clinical records, personnel files, and Agency operations. Conducts routine audits to ensure compliance with all regulatory body standards, or as needed for Interdisciplinary Team meetings. Monitor reports including but not limited to Missing Charges, Missing Signature, Office Production, and No Future Appointments. Monitors therapist schedules to maximize utilization of all open appointment slots within Outpatient services. Responds to referral calls and communicate the need to schedule intake appointments with appropriate staff members. Complete intake services when needed. Facilitates staff meetings to ensure dissemination of information and processing of client matters. Responds to emergency calls received through the after-hours service, as scheduled, from persons served currently receiving services. Engages persons served in treatment and encourage participation in programs. Provides crisis intervention and consultation as needed. Provides clinical consultation to active clients in the absence of their therapist. Practices and implements all emergency procedures including but not limited to; fire drills, disaster drills, and other crisis response procedures. Completes Initial Psychiatric Evaluations and provides follow-up psychiatric care. Completes all documentation accordingly. Diagnoses and treats common acute psychiatric problems, illness, and crises. It provides mental health and medication education. Psychopharmacologic management in collaboration with the psychiatrist, including ordering labs and reviewing data as needed and administers injections as scheduled. Coordinates and integrates multidisciplinary services for clients with complex psychiatric problems. Assist the organization in the preparation of short-term and long-term plans, and budgets based on broad corporate goals and growth objectives. Provides feedback and participates in the development and modification of agency operations and policies. Evaluate staff performance; routinely review competency and completion of job duties, expectations, and assignments; comply with all performance- and employment-related policies and procedures through supervision, progressive discipline, and evaluations. Supervisory Responsibilities Manages the Program Coordinators for multiple levels of care. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
