Job Description

The Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Manager is responsible for developing and growing the DEI program and initiatives. Will require out of office work and visits to contacts within the community.

This position also requires the flexibility to act autonomously at all times while adhering to overall department and company polices and procedures.

Duties:

  • Assist in developing and implementing strategies to achieve DEI goals
  • Maintain reports of individual and CIB plans and goals
  • Provide and/or facilitate training on best practices in DEI strategy
  • Maintain existing and build new community network contacts
  • Maintains knowledge of diversity-related issues, legislation, and best practices
  • Acts as company liaison with government agencies concerning affirmative action and equal employment opportunities
  • Maintains knowledge of diversity-related issues, legislation, and best practices
  • Attend recruiting and other events in the community as needed to represent the CIB
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with partner agencies and organizations, state and local officials, and the general public
  • Manage community interaction programs including work study programs (i.e. Providence Cristo-Rey)
  • Other such DEI related matters as assigned by the Business Operations Director or Senior Human Resources Manager


Education:

Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Work Hours:

Full-time / 37.5 hrs/wk. Must be flexible for overtime, including evenings, weekends and holidays as required based on business needs.

Physical / Mental Requirements:

Must be comfortable working in an office space for long hours with the ability to remain seated at the computer terminal for extended periods. Extreme repetitive motion using keyboard, mouse and telephone. Position can occasionally be fast paced. Occasional standing, walking and light lifting with a maximum of 20 pounds.
