Responsibilities
  • Creates and manages Citrix Applications and Desktops as needed. Defines product requirements and creates high-level architectural specifications, ensuring feasibility, functionality, and integration with existing systems/platforms.
  • Monitors the Citrix farm and offers solutions for improvement based on user feedback. Collects, evaluates Citrix services quality and proactively identify any significant network, hardware and software component failures.
  • Supports end-users on Citrix-related issues and escalates issues appropriately.
  • Keeps the Citrix infrastructure up-to-date with supported versions and security patches.
  • Provides technical assistance for all the servers, desktops and services that are part of the Citrix infrastructure.
  • Keeps track and documents licensing for the infrastructure including MS RDS, VDA, Operating Systems, MS Office and Citrix.
  • Creates and updates documentation related to the Citrix Farm.
  • Supports helpdesk calls and classifies cases according to their priorities.
  • Takes part in application or desktop deployment planning. Provides application installation and troubleshooting of Citrix XenDesktop suite of products, such as provisioning server, desktop delivery control, virtual desktop images/target devices.
  • Designs and assists in the implementation of Citrix XenApp farm including installing and publishing apps, administering Citrix servers, managing, and deploying Active Directory Group Policy Objects (GPOs) and associated custom GPO templates for the virtual environment.
  • Assesses change implementation options, benefits and risks, and recommends most appropriate direction.
  • Helps in organization and management of business applications.
  • Takes charge and coordinates with Citrix support or third-party support for troubleshooting issues.

 

Requirements
  • Associate's Degree in Information Technology. Citrix Certified Professional certificate required OR Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Citrix certified Professional certificate preferred.
  • Three years in Citrix administration. Experience in VMware Virtualization, Active Directory and AD group policies.
  • Citrix XenDesktop, Citrix PVS, VMware virtualization platform, Microsoft Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, RDS, Netscaler Access Gateway trainings and certifications.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess network and system performance and configuration which will help them determine how various changes will affect the environment.
  • Strong technical troubleshooting skills and be quick to rectify and resolve issues with the Citrix infrastructure. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
