Position Summary:

The Enrollment Services Assistant supports the enrollment, registration, and records operations of the College and encompasses such areas as enrollment; student registration; course and classroom scheduling; recording and archiving student demographic, grade, transcript, and degree information; and may include veterans’ services. The position’s role is that of assisting students in the enrollment and registration process and performing the detailed tasks of acquiring, maintaining, and reporting student information, and where assigned, providing veterans’ services

Incumbents must possess a proven ability to effectively work with a culturally, linguistically, and ethnically diverse faculty, staff, and student. They are expected to have excellent oral and written communication skills along with strong Information technology literacy skills such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc.).

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in an appropriately related field and three (3) years of related experience; or a combination of education, training, and experience that would lead to the competencies required for successful performance of the position’s essential duties.

Successful Candidate must have or must possess:

  • Experience preserving/handling student records and utilizing current enrollment practices and methods accepted by the higher education field
  • Experience operating computerized and manual systems for collecting, preserving, and reporting student information.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • One (1) or more years experience in College databases and processing programs e.g., Banner and CRM Recruit.
  • One (1) or more years experience in admissions, student recruitment, or a related field.
Example of Job Duties:

Under the direction of the Director of Enrollment Management or other administrator, the Enrollment Services Assistant is responsible for contributing to the enrollment, registration, and records operations of the College through effective performance in these essential areas: performing and assisting in the systematic processing of applications for admission to the College; performing and assisting in the collection, maintenance, and safeguarding of the College’s student records; for supporting the accurate and expeditious conduct of the College’s registration process; performing and assisting in the compiling and preparation of useful, accurate and timely student information reports. When so delegated, the incumbent is accountable for contributing to the College’s assistance to veterans in obtaining educational benefits and in reporting veterans’ class attendance.

In addition to the accountabilities listed above, Enrollment Services Assistant is required to carry out the essential duties of Attendance and participation at convocation and commencement ceremonies; Service on assigned committees and task forces; Attendance and participation at committee, staff, informational and professional meetings. These may involve attendance at evening or weekend events.

Starting Salary:

Salary $49,048 approximate annual plus excellent State of CT medical insurance, retirement, and related fringe benefits
