Medical Assistant Full Time and Part Time Openings

Capital Area Pediatrics, Inc. is seeking passionate and talented Certified Medical Assistants for all shifts (FT, PT, PRN) at all of our site locations (Falls Church, Sleepy Hollow, Vienna, Ashburn and Herndon).

In this role, you will:

Greet and escort patients to the exam room, gather patient history, measure vital signs, and document all information inpatient medical chart.

Role models excellent clinical skills with patients.

Give instructions to patients as directed by providers.

Ensure exam rooms are clean and stocked with adequate medical supplies, maintain instruments and prepare sterilization as required.

Excels in organizational skills, adjusts for changes, and is able to complete assignments on time.

Role Models caring in all encounters with patients and families as evidenced by feedback from parents and an increase in patient satisfaction scores.

Maintains patient files, records, and other information.

Maintains patient confidentiality.

Communicates effectively and courteously with and demonstrates a caring attitude toward patients and family.

Treats all patients and their families with dignity and respect.

Follows universal precautions, OSHA standards, and HIPAA regulations.

Attends required meetings and participates in committees as requested.

Performs other assigned duties as directed.

Qualifications

Education Level: Board of Nursing License for RN/LPNs

Education Level: Certified Medical Coding for MAs

AHA BLS Certification Required.

Experience:1+ years’ experience in office-based settings preferred.

Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to react calmly and effectively in all patient situations.
