Candidly is seeking a full-time senior lifecycle marketing manager to help tackle the student debt crisis and improve the daily lives of millions of borrowers. The role reports directly to the VP of Marketing and will oversee the complete consumer communications lifecycle, and be responsible for driving platform engagement to produce transformative outcomes for our end-users. The role will have a secondary focus on building marketing automation campaigns to nurture our enterprise segment, from lead to customer. The ideal candidate is data-driven and detail-oriented with a firm understanding of core omni-channel best practices to foster product adoption. Our entire team is fully distributed and constant collaboration allows us to respond to the ever-changing needs of our users.

A Day in the Life 

On any given day, the lifecycle manager may:

  • Create logic-based drip campaigns to enhance activation, engagement, retention and referrals 
  • Leverage data to power effective event-based messaging to increase conversion at key touch points along the funnel 
  • Partner with content marketing to translate our key messages into campaigns across the enterprise buyer and end-user stages 
  • QA campaigns to ensure device compatibility and dynamic data integrity 
  • Collaborate with designers and front-end engineers to create responsive and peak-performing marketing templates 
  • Support the marketing needs of our employers and partners in close collaboration with the customer success team 
  • Analyze KPIs such as delivery rate, open rate, click rate and down-funnel engagement at a micro (campaign) and macro (account) level 
  • Develop client facing campaigns such as email newsletters

From time to time

  • Plan quarterly lifecycle marketing campaigns to drive ongoing engagement 
  • Support GTM teams in driving awareness and adoption of new product releases 
  • Explore and define data segmentation models with our BI team 
  • Consult with back-end engineers to ensure the necessary feedback loop is in place between the platform and our marketing tools
  • Participate in research and customer support efforts to understand the pain points of our end-users 
  • Synthesize feedback from the sales field to incorporate key learnings into marketing opportunities 
  • Do something that you haven't done before and have fun learning a new skill

What were looking for

  • 5+ years of experience in a related marketing role 
  • Fintech industry experience and/or a B2B2C company background 
  • Expert knowledge of next-gen CRM/lifecycle platforms (Iterable preferred) 
  • Comfort with B2B marketing automation tools (Marketo, Pardot, etc.) 
  • Firm understanding of email and SMS best practices, including deliverability and regulations (i.e. CAN-SPAM, GDPR, etc.) 
  • Adept at designing personalized user journeys across a highly sophisticated fintech platform 
  • Experience incorporating dynamic content to create personalized templates at scale 
  • Experienced A/B tester that seeks incremental improvements across the full funnel 
  • Data-driven operating framework to generate actionable marketing insights 
  • Versatility to shift modes between end-user lifecycle management and enterprise nurture campaigns 
  • Comfortable relaying creative needs to our design team to support peak-performing marketing campaigns 
  • Excellent project management skills and familiarity with project management platforms, such as Jira
