The Project Manager will coordinate the structural steel projects from beginning to end according to deadlines and customer specifications. He will handle all dealings with clients, engineers, architects, detailers, production and construction teams. Finally, the candidate will monitor costs associated with projects and ensure full monitoring of projects and customer service.
The candidate for this position is a leader in structural steel project management. In addition to a keen mind, he must have a strong ability to quickly grasp issues, establish clear objectives for implementation and respond with urgency to achieve goals in prescribed timelines. Autonomous, dynamic and able to solve problems, he must have natural leadership skills, be proactive and able to make the right decisions. The ideal candidate must possess a Bachelor of Civil Engineering (structure) or any other relevant training combined with a minimum of five (5) years experience in the management of structural steel projects.
With sound judgment and strong interpersonal skills, the candidate must be committed, organized and efficient as well as have excellent communication skills with a customer-oriented approach. He also has a thorough knowledge of the construction industry by demonstrating his ability to go beyond the daily management of his projects. He has previously managed major construction projects (structural steel) and has the ability to keep pace with defined guidelines in daily turmoils. Creative and passionate, he is able to invest fully in products and services of which he is responsible.
Finally, the candidate is able to withstand pressure and easily adapt to change, spoken and written bilingual skills is an asset, and is known for his ability to meet commitments and initiatives in line with business strategies. Experience with Word, Excel and MS Project.
