POSITION SUMMARY: The Journeyman E1/E2 Electrician is a valuable member of the Camsan Inc. team as they will support the site foreman and project manager in ensuring the highest quality and standard of work and continuity on assigned projects. The Journeyman E1/E2 Electrician is responsible for their own work, can self-supervise and supervise others. Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills and is a strong communicator, written and verbally. The Journeyman E1/E2 Electrician can identify, raise attention to and solve problems. In their daily work will be responsible for mentoring and managing the work of Apprentice Trainees and will assists in developing their skillset. This position requires the dedication of a career minded person who possesses qualities of a leader, with an interest to grow within Camsan. The Journeyman E1/E2 Electrician works across a diverse category of industries including Residential, Commercial, Industrial and Solar and will continuously be challenged by new opportunities. CORE VALUES : Dependability, Workmanship, Initiative, Professionalism, Team Player, Problem Solver, Positive Attitude, Productive, Adaptable, Communication POSITION REQUIREMENTS: The Journeyman E1/E2 Electrician has a great attitude, encourages positivity, is motivated, and is a motivator or others Perform essential duties in preparation for wiring, including digging trenches or holes, manually installing posts, breaking concrete and the use of some heavy equipment Has strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and code changes with the ability to both interpret and apply in specific situations Complies with safety standards when using machinery i.e.; lifts, hoists, scaffolds and ladders Manages their time well, is punctual arriving onsite, to meetings and other work related events and locations. Is flexible with their work schedule and has a willingness to work on occasional weekends or holidays The Journeyman E1/E2 Electrician has a high mechanical aptitude and the physical stamina to perform the demands of the job including but are not limited to; walking, standing, climbing, bending, stooping, balancing, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, twisting, pushing, pulling, lifting, has visual acuteness and the ability to stand on a ladder for long periods of time The Journeyman E1/E2 Electrician is responsible for properly maintaining Camsan tools, equipment and vehicles, as well as keeping parts and supplies in order The Journey E1/E2 Electrician takes pride in their work, has a personal interest to succeed, and values the company Core Values, demonstrates and strives to achieve them as a goal Complies with OSHA and NFPA safety standards POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: Will read, interpret, and execute drawings, schematics, blueprints, and electrical code Completes work from written proposals, is detailed, and asks good questions Confirms proper material for project and places orders from Camsan Warehouse Troubleshoots issues on the job, creates solutions and raises attention to issues of a high level of concern Completes paperwork in a timely and consistent manner and is thoroughly and organized, i.e., Toolbox Talks, AHJ’s, and T&M Tickets Is responsible for Installation, repair or replacement of AC/DC motors and drives, transformers, motors, starters, relays, and electrical controls The Journeyman E1/E2 Electrician installs, repairs, or replaces electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, fiber-optic, and line assemblies, lighting, and alternative electrical parts Is responsible for installation of new generators systems and industrial storage batteries as well as their repair and replacement Installs electrical circuits, panels, conduit, protective devices, switches, and equipment required to accommodate the IBC and/or NEC Tests electrical and equipment and parts for continuity, current, voltage, and resistance Conducts preventive and maintenance programs, and also keeps maintenance records Has basic knowledge of; telecommunication (Copper and Fiber), CATV, Fire Alarm and Security Systems Works on electrical failures and replaces components wherever production time is often affected Corrects connections and wiring on equipment controls wherever incorrect applications may cause harm and dangerous conditions The Journey E1/E2 Electrician is a mentor to Apprentice level staff, is active in providing guidance and direction, and is vocal in offering constructive feedback of a positive nature and when necessary in support of improvement Encourages Apprentices to maintain a high standard of work, observes day to day workmanship and performance, provides feedback and completes performance evaluations when necessary Is professional and courteous when working with customers, vendors, site managers, trades and partners – Can act as a resource, is responsive and uses best judgement in elevating issues to Forman and/or Project Manager ENVIRONMENTS & CONDITIONS: Will travel to assigned job sites in and/or out of state Are required to work in uncomfortable conditions; indoors and outdoors which could be either hot, cold, wet or dusty At times the Journey E1/E2 Electrician will be required to work in confined or undesirable spaces such as crawl spaces, basements, attics, closets, roofs or ditches Is required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as mandated by OSHA and NFPA standards The Journey E1/E2 Electrician will work in a variety of different locations (such as construction sites, customer homes, on public or private property) and is required to act in a respectful and professional manner regardless of site location When using Camsan branded vehicles, equipment or wearing branded clothing you are representing Camsan, and required to represent yourself in a manner according to this job description and company guidelines Employment Type: Full Time Years Experience: 1 - 3 years Bonus/Commission: No
