This full time, permanent Programmable Logic Controls Engineer / Electrical Engineer career opportunity is at a OEM supplier of industrial capital equipment. Sales have grown ten percent annually.  Employees are not bored as there is a great variety in the work, products and projects.
 
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
  • Participating in the creation of a variety of industrial controls and electrical systems 
  • Working with a variety of web handling, converting, process-based equipment
  • Creating and modifying PLC's and HMI's 
  • Being the "go to" person to solve other people's problems
  • Working well with customers, coworkers and others
  • Ensuring specifications are being met through the manufacturing and assembly process
  • Supporting customers 
  • Traveling 25% to 30% to customer locations (all in North America and most all in the United States)
  • Create drawings in AutoCAD Electrical
 
The background of the successful candidate should include the following:
  • Four or more years of experience programming HMI's and PLC's from scratch
  • Experience making schematics
  • Experience supporting and troubleshooting complex OEM equipment
  • Possess an understanding of industrial equipment
  • Possess the ability to draw in AutoCAD Electrical
  • Ability to understand and troubleshoot electrical panels
  • Ability to travel 25% to 30% (all in North America and most all in the United States)
  • Possess the desire to be the "go to" person to solve other people's problems
 
A two year degree in Electrical Engineering or Controls Engineering is preferred but not required. A four year degree in Electrical Engineering or Controls Engineering is highly preferred but not required.
