JOB SUMMARY: As a senior level researcher, the Research Manager is responsible for the design and delivery of qualitative and quantitative market research projects for assigned client accounts. JOB DESCRIPTION REQUIREMENTS: * Selects and executes the most appropriate research methodology and techniques for each project. * Designs research workflow plans and timetables, modifying as needed throughout the course of the project. * Designs survey questionnaires and moderator discussion guides to ensure the necessary data is captured. * Working with the field operations team, oversees data collection. * Interprets and analyzes data, writes insightful reports, and presents actionable recommendations to clients. * Oversees the work of other researchers to ensure timeliness and quality of client deliverables. * Serves as the primary point of contact and relationship manager on designated client accounts. * Engages in active listening with clients to ensure a clear understanding of their business objectives. * Documents and communicates defined business objectives with internal and external stakeholders. * Identifies potential risks in client delivery, develops contingency plans, elevating risks as required to ensure appropriate resolution. * Provides mentorship to more junior level team members * May oversee a small team of researchers KEY COMPETENCIES FOR SUCCESS: * Proven expertise with a variety of qualitative and quantitative market research solutions, tools and methods. * Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks to meet a range of deadlines. * Strong sense of self-awareness with an interest in continued personal and professional growth. * Professional integrity with a solid orientation toward collaboration and leadership. * Strong writing, editing, and data visualization skills to ensure findings are communicated in a clear and easily digestible manner. * High degree of comfort in a client facing role with an ability to present complex information in an engaging and dynamic manner. * Strong interpersonal skills, with an ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, at all levels and with team members at remote locations. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: * Bachelors degree in a relevant discipline (business, psychology, economics, mathematics or social sciences) and 6-8 years of professional, post-graduate experience or a Masters degree and 4-6 years of experience. * 3-5 years of relevant industry/sector experience (life sciences). * Experience with people leadership and team development is a plus.
