INVESTMENT ACCOUNTANT JOB DESCRIPTION The investment accountant role includes data aggregation and management, accounting, reconciliation, and preparation of reports clients. The investment accountant will have responsibility to standardize and automate these services in an organized manner that will add value to all our clients. This position will report to the accounting manager.

QUALIFICATIONS: * 3+ years of accounting and/or data management experience required * Preferably with investments and alternative investments (private equity and hedge funds) * Preferably with investment partnerships, high-net-worth individuals, or other family offices * Bachelors degree in relevant field required (accounting, finance, IT, etc.) * High ability to use and adapt to new information technology * Strong and proactive communication skills * High level of organizational skills * Team player and collaborative * Ability to exercise discretion * Desire to grow and expand skill set * Critical thinking and analytical problem solving abilities RESPONSIBILITIES: * Gather, aggregate, and organize all client bank and custodial statements, partner capital statements, manager financial statements, tax documents, and capital activity requests from our investment managers and banks; * Monitor and communicate capital activity daily with the team * Download cash activity (weekly) and marketable security data (monthly) directly from our outside custodians and import into our accounting software * Input private investment values, at both the fund and portfolio company level, monthly/quarterly into our accounting software * Book taxable income for our private investments quarterly by interpreting partner capital statements * Reconcile monthly bank statements and quarterly fund statements to our accounting software * Prepare weekly capital activity and monthly cash reports for management * Prepare and automate recurring monthly or quarterly investment reports and financial statements for clients * Learn fiduciary (principal and income) accounting and prepare annual trust accountings * Set up new investments in our accounting software * Assist in the preparation and automation of various schedules for our various Boards KEY EXPECTATIONS: * Develop ways to use technology to standardize, automate, and improve our ability to meet client needs * Constant communication with family members, other staff, and outside service providers * Follow the mission and values of the family and implement the family office strategic plan
