Job Description


Main duties and responsibilities for a Senior Project Manager include the following:

  • Plans, organizes, coordinates and controls the project in accordance with established policies, procedures, systems and requirements 
  • Work cross-functionally and across geographies with stakeholders at all levels to support large-scale programs and initiatives
  • This Project Manager will reviews and approves preliminary project and equipment schedules, financial projections, cost-to-complete and project status reports for the duration of the project
  • Providing support and facilitation for end-to-end product introduction process by serving as point of integration to coordinate communications, manage workflow between teams and provide consistent reporting.
  • Directs and supervises work of project administration staff and construction engineers, as well as works in partnership with project superintendents to establish operational priorities
  • Maintains exceptional relationships with stake holders subcontractors and design partners 
  • Responsible for day-to-day contact and communications with customers, as well as subcontractor partners
  • Responsible for forecasting, tracking/reporting project costs/revenue and adherence to project estimates
  • Responsible for problem resolution involving labor disputes, staffing, construction materials, construction equipment and contracts/subcontracts administration
  • Notifies management of significant project events such as project successes, issues, injuries, client relations, potential losses/claims
  • Coordinates with construction Safety Manager to ensure that projects are completed in accordance with established safety goals

In return for a competitive remuneration package, the successful Senior Project Manager candidate will possess the following:

  • 15+ years of total construction experience in the heavy civil space
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or construction management
  • Experience in managing teams
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Success in client relationships
  • PMP Preferred
  • Certification in either a process discipline (PMI, Six Sigma) or technical discipline preferred
