Company and Position Summary:

Construction materials manufacturer needs a sales rep to handle existing accounts and new business opportunities in Minnesota and Northern WI.  If you have experience selling tools or building materials to accounts like Lowes, Home Depot, Menards, Lumber Yards, Building Supply Distributors, Hardware Stores, etc. this could be an exceptional opportunity for you.


About the Job:


  • Promote and sell products to the Big Box building supply retailers, lumber yards, distributors (example – Primesource), hardware stores in MN & WI.
  • Manage relationships with existing accounts and grow the business
  • Participate in training and demos at customer sites
  • Attend Contractor events in the area
  • Provide samples and manage displays and end caps
  • Develop and implement a sales plan for your territory, build a sales funnel and close business


Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years experience selling construction materials and services
  • BS degree or equivalent experience
  • Valid drivers license
  • Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
  • Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Travel within the territory on a daily basis.  May require up to 50% overnight travel at times.  Note:  Company vehicle is provided (includes gas, insurance, maint, etc.)
  • Comfortable making presentations
