Position Summary
(Classified as: Administrative Analyst/Specialist, Exempt I - 10/12, Grade 2)

Full-time (10/12 pay plan) position available on or after November 15, 2021 for Athletics.

Under the supervision of the Senior Associate Athletic Director, incumbent is responsible for the guidance, direction and supervision for game/event management and operations. Incumbent is also responsible for the inventory of athletic equipment and uniforms as well as overseeing athletics laundry operations.

Job Duties
Duties include but are not limited to:
  • Responsible for all aspects of game day ticketing sales and event staffing
  • Responsible for pre-event set up as well as post event breakdown for all home games and specials events held in athletic facilities.
  • Responsible for formulating and administering policies for game/event management and operations. Develop and implement policies, processes and procedures for all home competitions to ensure compliance with conference and NCAA protocols.
  • Responsible for crowd control and fan behavior, working with public safety as needed
  • Coordinate any special requests from visiting teams and/or officials
  • Work with campus dining to collaborate on all concession activities at events
  • Coordinate cleanliness of athletics facilities including trash removal and tidiness of restrooms
  • Inventory and manage general athletic department equipment
  • Oversee uniform cycles for each program and inventory game and practice apparel as necessary
  • Responsible for developing and managing the process for laundry services for athletic teams, including scheduling times and managing the maintenance of laundry equipment.
  • Schedule keeping for repair/maintenance/replacement of laundry equipment
  • In consultation with Senior Associate Director serve as director of select post season events for the CCAA and NCAA
  • Work with Senior Associate Director and Office of Event Services for any 3rd party rentals of athletic facilities
  • Provide set up and take down for special events in athletic facilities
  • Work and coordinate the smooth operation of non-athletics events in managed facilities.
  • Work with Senior Associate Director as needed on Facility projects
  • Allocate and organize storage areas for athletics
  • Assist coaches with facility needs as directed by Athletic Director or Senior Associate Director
  • Work with campus facilities on upkeep and care of athletics venues.
  • Other duties as assigned.

    Minimum Qualifications
    Education: Equivalent to a bachelor's degree OR a combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge and abilities.

    Experience: Minimum of three years of administrative work experience involving study, analysis, and/or evaluation leading to the development or improvement of administrative policies, procedures, practices, or programs.

    Preferred Qualifications

  • Background in game and event operations.
  • At least one year of experience working within a collegiate athletic program.

    Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • General knowledge and skills in the applicable administrative and/or program field and a foundational knowledge of public administration principles, practices, and methods.
  • Knowledge of and ability to apply fundamental concepts.
  • Ability to analyze data and make accurate projections using business mathematics and basic statistical techniques.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships within and outside the work group and serve as a liaison for the organizational unit.
  • Working knowledge of and ability to apply standard theories, principles, practices, and techniques applicable to the program and/or administrative specialty to develop conclusions and make recommendations.
  • Thorough knowledge of policies, procedures, and outside regulations pertaining to the applicable program and/or administrative specialty.
  • Working knowledge of operational and fiscal analysis and techniques. Working knowledge of budget policies and procedures.
  • Ability to take initiative and independently plan, organize, coordinate, and perform work in various situations where numerous and diverse demands are involved.
  • Skill in the research, development and evaluation of policies and programs, including skill in the collection, evaluation, and interpretation of data to develop sound conclusions and make appropriate recommendations.
  • Expertise in investigating and analyzing problems with a broad administrative impact and implications. Ability to make independent decisions and exercise sound judgment.
  • Ability to anticipate problems and address them proactively.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively interpret, organize, and present information and ideas in written or presentation form.
  • Ability to compile, write, and present reports related to program or administrative specialty.
  • Ability to train others on new skills and procedures and provide lead work direction.

    Salary Range
    Anticipated salary will be $3,248 - $3,573 per month plus excellent paid benefits. Salary will depend on the qualifications of the successful finalist. (Full AA/S, Exempt I - 10/12, Grade 2 range: $3,248 - $5,876 per month)
