We are looking for a Clinical Social Worker to join our team in Delhi, CA.
QUALIFICATIONS: Possession of a valid license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker issued by the California Board of Behavioral Science. Completion of a master's degree program from an accredited school of social work, approved by the Council on Social Work Education. Dialectical Behavior Therapy certification (DBT Clinician) and Substance Abuse certification are Required.
DUTIES: California Psychiatric Transitions’ Clinical Social Worker shall be responsible for creating and implementing policies and procedures, for DBT Therapy at CPT, as well as training and supporting staff as it relates to DBT Therapy. The Clinical Social Worker shall act as a liaison between administration, psychiatrists, staff and patients. He/She shall be responsible for reviewing and evaluating administrative and client care policies and procedures to better incorporate them to coincide with DBT Therapy. He/She will act as a consultant to the Director and Program Director in matters relating to client care services. He/She will be responsible for providing addiction counseling to clients as well as training staff to better handle the needs of clients with substance abuse histories. Additionally, the Clinical Social Worker will work with the Interdisciplinary Trainer to ensure DBT Therapy training for staff is completed and documented as required by law. The Clinical Social Worker may assume some of the duties currently handled by the Interdisciplinary Trainer (as necessary).Due to the unpredictable nature of the psychiatric profession employees are to engage in crisis prevention procedures for the safety, health and welfare of the residents and staff. In addition to specific job duties, due to the nature of the psychiatric field, at times, you will be expected to; stand for long periods of time, bend, kneel, lift, carry and walk swiftly or run.
