Job Description
MediExcel Health Plan (www.mediexcel.com) is a cross-border HMO Plan licensed by the California Department of Managed Health Care (DMHC). MEHP offers covered health benefit services to employer groups in San Diego County and Imperial County for their employees and eligible dependents. California Medical Administrators (CMA) is a subsidiary of MEHP. We are searching for a finance professional with experience in keeping accounting records, supporting accounts receivable/accounts payable activities, preparing reports, and supporting all finance department activities. Bilingual in English and Spanish is a must.
Responsibilities (including but not limited to): · Accurate and timely bookkeeping· Track and reconcile bank statements· Review and process invoices· Keep track of accounts payable and accounts receivable · Assist with the preparation of monthly financial reports· Provide administrative support as needed· Develop finance-related projects · Work effectively in a cross-functional environment· Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information· Lead multiple processes effectively· Accustomed to traveling to Mexico
Education: Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance of Administration Requirements · Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel software are a must· Knowledgeable in accounting/bookkeeping practices and processes· Proficient in QuickBooks· Strong organizational and time-management skills· Ability to work independently and on a team
Competencies Desired · Competent organizational and administrative skills.· Good communication and customer relations skills; working well with a team.· Sound decision-making, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.· Professional demeanor.
