Job Description

Immediate Opening! We’re looking for a new CLASS A DRIVER at Foodlink! This position will require an experienced Class A Driver preferably with food handling / reefer experience that can rotate between our Commercial Driving Division and our Food Program Distributions. Excellent driving history with no positive drug or alcohol tests.

Commercial Driving Division: Over-the-road to Western States including Idaho, Colorado, Wyoming, Utah, Arizona but mainly California, Nevada, Oregon and Washington. Loads are booked Monday-Friday with weekends back in Sacramento. Loads can sometimes require the driver to unload at the destination and can be single or multi drop.

Food Program Distributions: Food Distributions are scheduled to rural and remote locations within California. This position will require the driver to directly interact with Food Bank Agencies, volunteers and recipients. The Driver must unload the food from the truck, help bag, distribute and in some cases, load in recipient’s vehicles.

This Driver position requires safe, responsible driving with on-time deliveries, flexible schedule during the week, good communication with dispatcher, ability to contribute to scheduling plans, physical ability to work in outdoor conditions, outstanding customer service, meticulous paperwork skills and most importantly….compassion for our community members in need.

This is an hourly position with per diem, medical and dental benefits, retirement funding option, paid holidays, sick leave and vacation. Competitive compensation based on experience.
