Job Description
We are seeking a Cultural Liaison Coordinator to join our team! The Cultural Liaison Coordinator is responsible for promoting cross-cultural understanding and communication within the manufacturing operations. This role involves bridging cultural gaps, fostering inclusivity, and facilitating positive interactions among employees from various cultural backgrounds. The coordinator acts as a point of contact for cultural matters, helping to create an environment that values diversity and enhances collaboration.

This role serves as a vital link to promote inclusivity, resolve cultural conflicts, and ensure that the organization's operations are culturally sensitive and respectful. Duties/Responsibilities: Serve as a bridge between different cultural groups, facilitating clear communication and resolving potential misunderstandings. Act as a mediator in cross-cultural interactions to ensure effective and respectful communication. Develop and deliver training programs to enhance cultural awareness and sensitivity among employees. Educate staff on cultural norms

, practices, and potential challenges to promote a harmonious work environment. Collaborate with HR and management to design and implement initiatives that promote diversity and inclusion throughout the organization. Participate in the development of policies and practices that support an inclusive workplace culture. Address cultural conflicts and issues that may arise, mediating between parties to find equitable solutions. Provide guidance to individuals on how to navigate cultural differences and resolve conflicts constructively. Assist in onboarding processes to ensure new employees from different cultures feel welcomed and integrated.

Organize cultural events, workshops, or celebrations to encourage cross-cultural interaction and understanding. Serve as a resource for employees seeking information about different cultures, customs, and etiquette. Provide guidance on appropriate communication styles in multicultural settings. Collect data on cultural diversity initiatives and their impact on the organization. Prepare regular reports for management, highlighting progress and areas for improvement.

Education: Bachelor's (BA/BS) and/or combination of education and experience. Communication Skills (Oral/Written) - able to speak clearly, concisely and accurately in order to ensure effective department operations. Computer Skills (Intermediate level)

Qualifications: Strong understanding of cross-cultural communication, diversity, and inclusion principles. Problem solving and conflict resolution abilities, with a diplomatic and empathetic approach. Experience in organizing cultural events, workshops, or training programs is a plus. Proficiency in relevant languages or familiarity with different cultural practices is advantageous. Sensitivity to cultural differences and the ability to adapt communication strategies accordingly. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.

Ability to maintain the highly confidential nature of human resources work. Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel verbally and in writing, along with great interpersonal skills to work with various departments, foster teamwork, and motivating others. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, self-motivated with a working knowledge to learn quickly, prioritize, and multitask. Ability to travel for recruitment meetings, college visits, and career fairs and maintain a flexible work schedule as needed. Must possess a sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on the companys success. What We Offer: Competitive Wages, starting at $23.00-$25.00/hour, depending on experience.
