Print Supervisor

SUMMARY
Plans, directs and coordinates all aspects of 7x24 high speed print operations department. Supervises a team of fifteen print and finishing operators over multiple shifts. Manages the associated equipment, vendor relationships, processes and metrics. Delivers accurate and predictable print/mail/fulfillment services meeting or exceeding Service Level Agreements (SLA). Demonstrate leadership, initiative and flexibility by example.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Essential job functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Supervisory Responsibilities
Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and results of 7x24 digital print operations department
Directly supervise ~ 15 non-exempt, regular workforce and 1-4 flexible workforce on three shifts
Responsible for key aspects of Human Resource management, including: planning, assigning, schedule and directing work; evaluating and managing performance, recognizing and rewarding; addressing issues and resolving problems, coaching and developing employees, and assisting in the interviewing and hiring decisions
Supervise overall print and finishing operations environment, including equipment, vendors, processes, and staff to meet and exceed required customer service levels
Perform demand and capacity planning to ensure continuity of service
Plan and manage projects as directed by the Production Manager
Optimize organization, staff, schedules, workflow and processes to deliver predictable, quality, cost effective results
Establish, track and report staff and business metrics to demonstrate and manage organizational health, improvement and cost of delivery
Perform other duties as assigned

EXPERIENCE AND SPECIAL SKILL REQUIREMENTS
Education Requirement
Associates degree or equivalent

Experience Requirements
3-5 years Supervisory and or Production management experience
Experience implementing process/quality/continuous improvement programs (Six Sigma, LEAN or institutional quality programs) a plus

Special Skill Requirements
Ability to multi-task and prioritize personal and department work to meet service agreements
Ability to cultivate production discipline into the environment
Knowledge of finishing processes
Knowledge of Xerox and Canon/Oce print environments a plus
KPI Measurement
Project management methodology, planning and delivery skills a plus
Excellent interpersonal, oral and written, communications skills
Excellent attention to detail and follow up skills
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
