We are hiring Construction Coordinator for a Contract position in Cambridge, ON , Canada

Location:ONSITE - Cambridge, ON N3E 1A3
Rate:$35.00 - $40.00 per hour (W2 Only)

**Must reside locally or willing to relocate to at your own expense**

Construction Coordinator will manage area project schedules for new equipment installation, new model introduction, shop capacity studies and overall facilitation with related plant production groups.

Lead role for designing and fabricating prototype, and supervising mass production of Jigs and Attachments for processing 311D model through Painting Process at Cambridge and Woodstock sites. Measuring and designing functional and repeatable Jigs and Attachments that will last the duration of the model (5 years). Work with vendors to develop and mass fabricate Jigs and Attachments per schedule. Report progress status to leaders and managers. Visit Vendors site to perform quality and functionality checks of mass-produced Jigs and Attachments and work with vendors to close issues that arise. Support production and pilot groups to implement Jigs and Attachments into production.

Responsibilities include:
Manage area project planning, implementation and follow-up to achieve KPIs and critical milestones
Create project schedules
Support new model introduction (equipment modifications, process jigs, etc.)
Create scope of work and define roles/responsibilities within the project
Review and/or design mechanical, structural,
Oversee several planned construction and commissioning work during non-production time and ensure equipment ready for production start.
Review site safety management plans for construction jobs
Lead process development through process design, machine specification, equipment procurement and installation, safety risk assessments and process trials based on project milestones and events.
Execute onsite equipment modifications during non-production time (weekends, holidays, etc.)
Participate in team Kaizen and organizational improvement activities
Interact with inside and outside groups to divide responsibilities and resolve conflicts.

REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
** Must be a Canadian Citizen with a valid passport, able to travel internationally (10%)**
** Candidate Must be hold a Certificate in any of the following: Metalworking / Fabrication Or Skilled Trades involving fabrication, blacksmithing, sheet metal, welding, etc **
10+ years of experience Welding, MIG, Stick and TIG
10+ years of experience in metal fabrication
3+ years of experience coordinating equipment installations with multiple contractors
3+ years of experience reviewing mechanical, structural drawings
3+ years of experience leading problem solving
Proficient knowledge in MS Office applications and AutoCAD (Electrical and Mechanical)
Working knowledge of Canadian construction and safety codes/laws
Ability to work weekends, holiday periods, and shutdown to support equipment modifications and installation projects
Able to work extensive over-time, up 60 hours per week
Ability to travel up to 20% to all manufacturing sites
Skilled Trades Certification required ( Metalworking / Fabrication Or Skilled Trades involving fabrication, blacksmithing, sheet metal, welding, etc)
Education: Bachelor s Degree or higher in Engineering

Desired Qualifications:
2+ years of experience with AutoCAD
