Job Description

Position Summary:

The Intraoperative Neuromonitoring (IONM) Product Manager (PM) is responsible for developing product line strategies and roadmaps to capture market share and maintain Cadwell’s leadership position. This position is responsible for working together with Sales, Marketing, Engineering, Finance, Operations, Regulatory, and Service/Support to promote, sell and support IONM systems, supplies, and accessories. The goal of the IONM Product Manager is to ensure that Cadwell’s IONM products excel in the global marketplace by providing our customers with optimal solutions to meet their needs.  

Key Functions / Responsibilities:

  • Manage product portfolio life cycle; from opportunity recognition, to value proposition development, to launch, to maintenance, to sunset
  • Drive product line revenue and profitability
  • Support ongoing revenue forecasting and analysis to accomplish revenue and margin targets
  • Analyze the market, competition, clinical needs, customer needs, and technology developments, in order to identify, prioritize, and deliver on business opportunities
  • Identify opportunities to further penetrate existing, enter emerging, and expand into adjacent market segments
  • Deliver products that meet market demands
  • Define the product vision, roadmap, and innovation plans for the IONM product portfolio and translate that into clear product specifications for the development team
  • Coordinate clinical validation of new products to ensure products meet market needs
  • Work closely with R&D, quality, regulatory, supply chain, service, support, installation, sales and/or with external partners to achieve product line goals
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with industry Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), to be leveraged for direct sales, early adoption of new technologies, and development partnerships
  • Actively participate in domestic and international IONM product related trade shows, exhibitions, conventions, and courses
  • Provide technical expertise to support customer interactions, provide problem-solving insight and training
  • Create sales, configuration, pricing and messaging strategy, and training and marketing collateral, and ensure product literature is accurate, up-to-date, and clear
  • Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction with existing products
  • Perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned

Education / Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in the IONM field required; CNIM strongly preferred
  • BE/BS/BA required, engineering or scientific discipline preferred, MBA a plus; MS or Doctorate preferred
  • Relevant experience in product management strongly desired, preferably in medical device hardware and software
  • 2+ years of IT-related networking needs, challenges, and requisite solutions strongly desired

Skills / Job Knowledge / Abilities:

  • Solid fundamental understanding of global IONM market needs and market dynamics
  • Expert level clinical and product knowledge of IONM
  • Willing and understands how to build a long-term relationship with the customer
  • Accurately assess customer needs and provide consultative solutions
  • Complete work both independently and as an effective member of the team, adapting to changing requirements, deadlines, and priorities as needed
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills, including formal presentation skills before small groups to clearly communicate technical information required
  • Competency in computer skills: MS Office and Google applications, query tools, and database systems
  • Working knowledge of Windows OS in a networked environment is preferred
  • Skilled in problem analysis and resolution

Physical Requirements / Working Conditions:

  • Valid driver’s license and active vehicle insurance policy required
  • It is strongly preferred that this position is located at Cadwell’s headquarters in Kennewick, WA, however, this position may be eligible for partial remote work. 
  • Up to 50% travel required; must be able to obtain necessary travel documents, and possess valid driver’s license and active vehicle insurance; requires residence in a major metropolitan area with an international airport
  • Requires the following physical activities: standing, walking, sitting, bending, stooping, squatting, reaching, pushing, pulling, finger dexterity, talking, hearing, visual acuity, and lifting and carrying up to 45 pounds
