Cache County is accepting applications for a Chief Deputy Clerk. This position will perform a variety of administrative and supervisory duties related to organizing, directing and coordinating the various legally required functions of the office of the County Clerk/Auditor; in the absence of the County Clerk, the Chief Deputy Clerk assumes all statutory authority and responsibility of the department.
The Chief Deputy Clerk's duties include, but are not limited to, monitor the department's day-to-day operations and ensure compliance with established policies and procedures, provide training, conduct performance appraisals; perform oaths, marriage licenses, business licenses, receive fees, oversee the ongoing and periodic processes related to elections, including voter registration, candidate filing, ballot preparation and assembly, absentee ballots, record purging, and processing of election results. The Chief Deputy Clerk will also be responsible for the maintenance of the Clerk/Auditor website, social media, and web-based applications related to elections, marriage licensing, and other services provided; and will act as the department records officer to ensure compliance with Utah GRAMA Guidelines.
The Chief Deputy Clerk requires an Associate degree in a business-related field and Four years of progressively responsible work experience performing related duties.
This is a full time benefitted position generally working Monday Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
