CWSI is accepting applications for (Machine Operator / Foreman) to work out of the Bonita Springs, Hollywood, and Lakeland Florida areas. This role is multifaceted and provides career growth for the right candidate.
- Must be able to supervise a crew effectively and efficiently.
- Must be able to operate machinery (such as underground equipment).
- Must be able to read and understand engineering, underground, and utility drawings.

Follow directions, maintain work quality, and uphold safe working conditions/habits. Must be able to demonstrate the ability to maintain positive working relationships at all levels, both internal and external to the company. Must be able to communicate effectively and responsibly with customers and officials. Comprehend prints that relate to the different projects. Must be able to work both as individuals and as a crew, depending on the project’s requirements. Must be able to work in varying outdoor environments at all times of the year, as well as being able to work in confined spaces. Must be willing to travel throughout the state (as needed per certain projects), which may include multiple overnight stays at a time. Employees will be on a rotating On-Call Schedule which is 24 hours per day while on schedule, being available on Weekends and some Holidays, and must be flexible to the schedule changes. Employees must be able to operate, clean, maintain, stock, secure, and transport company equipment and materials. Must be able to assist with shop work, which may include general maintenance, repairing of equipment, and other work-related duties as assigned. In addition, must also be able to perform general construction work (including physical labor i.e., using hand tools, lifting materials with an average weight up to 50lbs., etc.) under direction of Foremen, Supervisors, and/or Project or Construction Managers.
Employees working for Cable Wiring Specialist, Inc. must be able to keep not only themselves safe, but everyone around them. They are expected to possess sufficient knowledge of state and local roadways and have experience with operating delivery vehicles of varying sizes. They must be able to check their work zone throughout their shift to be sure items are still in their proper locations, as well as pick up any traffic control items at the beginning and end of their shift. Employees must also be able to quickly identify, understand, and apply safe traffic control practices, sometimes in high intense or emergency situations. They must have the ability to stand for long periods of time at job sites and watch for road traffic and pedestrians to protect the public, equipment, and employees. Cable Wiring Specialist, Inc. employees are required to have a valid Driver’s License to operate company vehicles. A valid CDL is preferred but not required. They must also have a clean driving record and be able to pass a background check. Lastly, employees must be able to successfully pass a drug screen test and meet the federal DOT requirements. Must be 21 years or older.
