This position is responsible for ensuring the company never hesitates to close the business necessary to hit revenue goals and profitability goals. We are a fast-paced company that is constantly growing, evolving, and shifting in the marketplace. We need a leader who can handle these changes and bring order to the chaos while not slowing us down too much in the process. Someone who can ensure the trains are running on time!
We are looking for a problem solving manager who loves to solve problems once so that they never happen again while collaborating with others for the solution. They aren’t afraid to get their hands dirty and figure out what’s going on and help solve it. Someone who can delegate, hold accountable, see the bigger picture, and get the job done. Someone who isn’t afraid of confrontation, yet isn’t confrontational by nature. Someone who is hungry, humble, and smart. A true team player.
This candidate would be responsible and held accountable to CSAT goals (customer service metrics), maintaining SLAs, client retention goals, ensure that projects are delivered within budget, while helping to maintain a positive, results-driven culture where people matter. We have a strong client-focus, but that can only happen when we have a great team and treat our employees with respect.
The director of operations provides structure, systems, and processes to our service delivery side of the company, and provides a strong foundation for handling company growth. This individual is a strong manager, who is not afraid to lead, manage, and hold the service and project teams accountable to their agreed upon results and metrics. This position is the “glue” that holds it all together. Paired with a strong sales-driven leader, this position will allow the company to move quickly, change often, stay nimble, and meet or exceed stated targets.
Ideally, in our business, this candidate would have a strong IT background and know how technology works. We are an MSP that helps growing businesses improve their productivity, profitability, and peace-of-mind through best-in-class IT systems, security, and support. We do this through a variety of departments, all with different goals, metrics, and team members. The director of operations would be responsible for managing the leaders of these teams, and possibly even stepping in as the leader for a period of time if there isn’t budget for OR a hired leader of that department. The person in this role should have a working knowledge of finance and budgeting, sales and account management, marketing, customer service, and IT. We currently have leaders for marketing, sales / account management, helpdesk (remote and on-site combined), projects / maintenance, and finance. The director of operations is responsible for collaborating with all of these leaders to ensure that the trains run on time and within budget, with a heavy focus in service and project delivery.

Compensation negotiable but in line with roles and responsibilities of a $3.5M MSP looking to double in the next 2 to 3 years. This role reports directly to the President of the company.
We are an MSP in Eastern NC and are 22 employees strong serving 130 clients.
