Job Description
PRODUCTION PLANNER - Junior to Mid-Level
FULL-TIME POSITION
INDUSTRY: SHIP REPAIR
LOCATION: VIRGINIA BEACH, VA
PAY RANGE: $21.00 - $26.00 per Hour
SUMMARY:
Will be responsible for supervision of all major functions of the ship repair, installation and alteration program that provides US Navy Surface Ship Repair Items and Ship Alterations. Will determine work and identify materials and cost using drawings, technical documents, NAVSEA Standard Items, and onsite Ship checks.
REQUIREMENTS:
3-7 years of managing US Navy depot level surface Ship maintenance planning and esimating (depending on junior or mid-level).
Supervisory or production controller roles would be preferred.
Experience as a Naval Supervising Authority Project Manager is also preferred.
US Navy Surface Ship experience preferred
Experience with US Navy surface Ship preferred
Experience with Ship modernization and maintenance procedures strongly preferred
(NMD) Navy Maintenance Database experience desired
Experience with Ship maintenance providers such as SUBSHIP/naval shipyards and regional maintenance centers preferred
Abiliy to lift up to 30lbs, climb stairs and access confined spaces.
Will be required to conduct shipchecks
