Job Description

Who we are looking for:

CTR-America is seeking an experienced, results-driven, self-motivated individual to join our team as a Sr. Account Manager. The Sr. Account Manager will be responsible for leading, developing, and implementing all aspects of CTR’s objectives including securing new business and managing ongoing programs/projects. This position will report to the N.A Sales Director located in Southfield, Michigan.

Job Description including but not limited to:

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with CTR cross functional teams (N.A/Korea) to Develop and implement customer strategy, incorporating specific targets to pursue
  • Responsible for managing customer communication and addressing customer concerns throughout the CTR global team
  • Negotiate and secure new business
  • Daily program management with customer commercial, engineering and quality groups.
  • Builds positive relationships with key internal and external customer groups
  • Provides timely communication of customer program requirements throughout all internal cross functional teams (i.e.: engineering, design, purchasing, etc.)
  • Ensure accuracy of contract pricing and maintain tracking of change control activity corresponding pricing/tooling impact
  • Ensure customer requests are dealt with in a timely and urgent manner

· Lead quote process with commercial team for engineering changes and new business opportunities

  • Assist with developing pricing proposals and strategies.
  • Track to make sure customer payments regarding product, tooling, EDD, etc. are made within customer payment term period
  • Customer communication/negotiation for critical SCM/Logistics issues with NA SCM team
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in Automotive Industry (account sales preferred)
  • Must be able to oversee the management of programs and take responsibility for critical programs based on large sales volume and/or strategic importance.
  • High level of initiative, with the ability to work well in a global team environment
  • Skilled negotiator
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize work assignments and meet deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to think on a strategic level
  • Knowledge of suspension/chassis products preferred
  • Strong and enthusiastic team player with the ability to be flexible with time, can motivate, and work well with other team members in a global environment

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business
  • Minimum 10 years related experience in account sales at OE or Tier 1 levels.
