We have an immediate opening for a Program Manager to help oversee and manage multiple projects related to entrepreneurial growth and expansion for the CT entrepreneurial ecosystem.
The Program Manager will support the senior program staff with oversight of several central programs and resources that are available to contract sites/organizations as well as the businesses and entrepreneurs within the ecosystem. The Program Manager will be part of a team dedicated to this effort, including direct oversight of the Partnership and the Accelerator and Incubation Fund programs.
The Program Manager will perform this role to the direct benefit of the CTNext member network, while leveraging other statewide resources, and influencing statewide strategy in support of talent and workforce development. The role will report to the Managing Director.
Responsibilities include the following tasks:
- Assisting in the management of all internal programs and resources ensuring on-time and in-budget deliverables
- Providing oversight, management, and assistance to partners, higher education institutions, contract sites, entrepreneurs, those seeking employment and businesses seeking to employ
- Managing all processes and procedures for the CTNext entrepreneurship support services programs, including influencing metrics and outputs
- Assisting or taking the lead, where applicable, in the development and management of events including training programs, marketing and outreach events, participation in job fairs, and others as needed
- Supporting the reporting and analysis of program performance
- Collaborating with the Executive Director and other senior staff to develop new programs and resources as needed to effectively service and grow the CTNext ecosystem participants
- Performs related duties as required.
Knowledge, Skills and Ability:
- Ability to handle multiple concurrent projects without losing attention to details and documentation of processes
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills paired with openness to new ideas and suggestions
- Strong written/verbal communications skills
- Independence and confidence to structure and prioritize own workload
- High standards of accountability towards organization, partners, and communities
- Knowledge of program evaluation methodologies and appreciation for the use of them
- Versatility and flexibility to support the organization's evolving needs
- Exposure to (or involvement in) community mobilization for economic development (particularly as related to entrepreneurial activities)
- Preferably, experience with one or more of the following: business development, marketing, management consulting or special projects, and operations.
- Preferably, experience working with higher education institutions or workforce development organizations (e.g., training organizations, workforce development boards, etc.)
Minimum Qualifications - General Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field plus three (3) years' experience in program or project management is a definite plus. An MBA or other master's level business degree can be substituted for up to one year of the above described experience.
- The successful candidate needs to be a CT resident on the first day of work.
