Job Description

Role and Responsibilities

  • Supports the CEO in execution of financial aspects of the strategic plan
  • Drives the companys financial planning
  • Oversees the planning, execution and tracking of indirect budget allocations and rates
  • Performs risk management by analyzing the organizations liabilities and investments
  • Decides on investment strategies by considering cash and liquidity risks
  • Develops and execute growth strategies
  • Ensures cash flow is appropriate for the organizations operations
  • Oversees lines of credit and ensuring the company maintains covenants
  • Interfaces with the Private Equity investors for financial matters
  • Support of M&A efforts to include due diligence assessments of potential acquisitions
  • Manage vendor relationships
  • Prepares reliable current and forecasting reports
  • Sets up and oversee the companys finance IT system
  • Ensures compliance with FAR, CAS, DCAA and GAAP principles and company policies
  • Responsible for Executive level reporting
  • Manage team ofcontrollers, financial analysts and accountants.


Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Must have prior CFO experience
  • BS/BA in Accounting, Finance or relevant field; MS/MBA is a plus
  • Extensive knowledge of Costpoint and multiple years experience working in a Costpoint-based environment
  • In depth knowledge of corporate financial law and risk management practices
  • Strong knowledge and experience of all accounting and finance functions, to include contract billing, within a Government Contractor corporate environment
  • Experience preparing financial reporting for private equity investors and board of directors
  • Experience in indirect budget development, tracking, management and application across the organization
  • Knowledge and experience in understating operational impacts of financial decisions across the organization
  • Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software (FocusPoint experience a plus)
  • Ability to strategize and solve problems
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills for both in-source and out-sourced accounting and finance team
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Ability to communicated openly and honestly with other C-Suite members and Senior Leadership team
