We are seeking a Responder - EMT, AEMT, Or Paramedic to join our team!
What you need to know:
Candidates are EMTs, AEMTs, and Paramedics in the Bethesda, MD area who travel to the homes of patients who are feeling under the weather, but not in a state of emergency. When people are dealing with issues like cough, colds, aches, pains, or flu-like symptoms, they can request a visit by calling or ordering a visit through the companies app, and a Responder will be there typically within 30 minutes. The Responder does a thorough medical assessment and then connects the patient to a nurse practitioner or physician via video conference on their iPad. That advanced provider creates a treatment plan and can even virtually prescribe patient medications.
Required skills & experience:
- Maryland EMS Certification – EMT, AEMT, or Paramedic (VA certification will not be considered)
- BLS certification (required); ACLS certification (preferred)
- Must be from the American Heart Association or America Red Cross-approved provider
- Emergency medical experience through EMS agency, hospital, clinic, etc.
- State driver’s license and auto insurance
- Must be able to maintain all required licenses and certifications and must complete all required continuing education courses.
- 18 years of age or older
- Pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen
- Provide current PPD test results
- Clean driving record for the past three years
- Reliable access to a personal vehicle
- Functioning smartphone (e.g. iPhone, Samsung Galaxy, etc.)
- Eligibility to work in the US without Company sponsorship for a work visa or employment-based green card
- Previous experience as an EMT, paramedic, or in other related fields
- Knowledge of First Aid and CPR procedures (certifications)
- Ability to stay calm in stressful situations
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
