Customer Retention Specialists

Work on the phone, making and receiving phone calls from existing customers as a part of the customer service department. The purpose of this job is to keep customers happy with the company. Positions involve sitting for long periods at a desk or in a cubicle, and can involve evening and weekend work hours. Customer retention specialists often report to a department supervisor, work in a team environment and can be micromanaged.

You’ll need to have:

  • A high school diploma or GED is required
  • Previous customer service or call center experience
  • Interpersonal skills
  • Excellent customer service
  • Ability to solve problems
  • Ability to handle rejection
  • Ability to meet retention goals
