Senior Procurement Specialist (Remote)

 

Duration: 6+ month contract (likely to extend or go direct hire)

Location: REMOTE

Pay Rate: $42 - $51.50/hr (based on experience)

 

Overview: The CRS Group is currently looking for a Senior Procurement Specialist one of our clients in the Chicagoland area. The CRS Group is a nationwide Staffing Firm who works primarily with Fortune 500 and Fortune 1000 corporations.

 

Job Description:

The Senior Sourcing Specialist is responsible for strategic sourcing of commodities, takes a lead role in contract development and management, and manages stakeholder and vendor relationships. The level of work is considered advanced and staff works under minimal supervision. This position has no direct reports but may train junior staff.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Conducts market commodity research and analysis
  • Develops sourcing strategy for respective business services
  • Develops RFP`s, RFI`s, and RFQ`s
  • Sources and selects vendors qualified to meet business requirements of stakeholders
  • Coordinates vendor selection process, events and stakeholder meetings
  • Takes a lead role in managing contract activities for internal stakeholders; this may include executing statements of work, amendments, extensions and/or other agreements that require professional review, insight and judgement
  • Negotiates moderate to highly complex contract terms, conditions, and prices in partnership with Legal department to ensure the most effective value and align with the Bank`s risk appetite
  • Works with stakeholders to prioritize and resolve product pricing and legal concerns to execute contracts
  • Works with Legal department to prioritize and resolve legal concerns to execute contracts Vendor Management
  • Acts as a relationship manager between business units and vendors
  • Leads discussions between vendors and stakeholders to clarify requirements and discuss needs
  • Ensures contract terms and conditions are met and resolves issues and challenges between vendors and stakeholders
  • Ensures compliance with state laws, industry standards and Bank guidelines
  • Consults with business areas to determine product and service needs and proactively plan for future needs
  • Serves as a subject matter expert, supporting specialized workgroups and initiatives

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or related field or equivalent experience
  • Three or more years of related work experience
  • Experience in the design and implementation of supplier management programs
  • Procurement Project management experience
  • Ariba filenet SharePoint Tableau
  • Advanced knowledge of procurement principles, practices and procedures obtained through education, experience or certification
  • Independent thinking and decision-making abilities
  • Ability to communicate, build credibility, influence and negotiate with key stakeholders
  • Possesses strong presentation skills
  • Strong project management skills
  • Demonstrates aptitude to leverage relevant technology and software applications, including electronic sourcing tools Excellent attention to detail
  • Understanding of contractual terms
