Mobile Shredding CDL Driver Operator

Primary Responsibilities: A Mobile Shredding Operator is the public face of Crown Information Management, trusted to transport and handle client materials and engage with clients and co-workers in a friendly and professional manner. This important team member drives a company Mobile Shredding Vehicle, transporting materials from client and Crown Information Management locations. A Mobile Shredding Operator loads and unloads with a variety of mechanisms, sometimes uses wireless scanning technology, prepares paperwork and performs daily inspections and some maintenance on the Mobile Shredding Vehicle to ensure its efficient operation. This position calls for a significant degree of strength and stamina.

Specific Duties & Tasks:
Communicates in a friendly professional manner with clients and co-workers
Operates and maintains Mobile Shred Vehicle safely and efficiently (both standard and automatic transmission)
Handles all physical requirements for loading, transporting and driving without assistance (details below)
Executes accurate and timely handling of client delivery and shredding requests
Prepares accurate paperwork and records
Must have an operational cell phone
Day begins between 6 a.m. and 7 a.m. average day length between 9 and 11 hours, average number of stops per day range between 20 and 30
Ability to bend and squat, Climb/step-up into a truck cab, Grip, lift, push, pull, and carry wheeled, plastic bins over & up and down inclines, stairs, varying walking surfaces and elevation
Lift at least 70 pounds up to 100 pounds at a time, from the floor to shoulder height, throughout the day. (These may be in the form of bags or boxes of paper, hard drives, and other forms of media.)
Wheeled shredding bins may weigh up to 300 pounds and deliver containers of various sizes and weights that do not exceed 120 pounds each
Occasional warehouse duties, as assigned by supervisor
Attends all required training and meetings which may be outside normal business hours
Other duties may be assigned.
Qualified candidates must:
Must have a valid CLASS B CDL driver’s license and a good driving record and able to pass a pre-employment substance abuse screening, a local and federal background check and a DOT physical, as well as on going random drug screening.
Two or more years’ route transportation experience required
Ability to bend and squat
Climb/step-up into a truck cab
Grip, lift, push, pull, and carry wheeled, plastic bins over, up and down inclines, stairs, varying walking surfaces and elevation
Lift at least 70 pounds up to 100 pounds at a time, from the floor to shoulder height, throughout the day. (Bags, boxes of paper, hard drives, and other forms of media.)
