Critical Systems, Inc. (CSI) is a rapidly growing 24-year-old, ISO certified, high tech manufacturing company for the semiconductor industry. Our current growth rate, as well as a host of upcoming exciting new products has us in search of an additional Drafter for our Boise, Idaho office.

A Drafter is responsible for the drafting and preparation of documents and design drawings utilizing Solid Works software. They are expected to deliver high quality project designs, plans, as-built, field notes and drawings per customer’s requirements and expectations.

Responsibilities:

  • Produces designs, working drawings, charts, forms, and records using computer-aided design and drafting (Solid Works) software. 
  • Works from rough sketches and specifications created by engineers, Sales and Operations. 
  • Modifies and revises designs to correct operating deficiencies or to reduce production problems. 
  • Computes mathematical formulas to develop and design detailed specifications. 
  • Lays out and draws schematic, orthographic, or angle views to depict functional relationships of components, assemblies, systems, and machines. 
  • Coordinates with other workers to design, lay out, or detail components and systems and to resolve design or other problems. 
  • Checks dimensions of materials to be used and assigns numbers to the materials. 
  • Reviews and analyzes specifications, sketches, drawings, ideas, and related data to assess factors affecting component designs and the procedures and instructions to be followed. 
  • Prepares designs for review by engineers. 

Qualifications:

  • Education: Associate degree or 2 years previous experience with letter of recommendation or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • Experience: Solid Works or Solid Works Professional (Must Have)
