Associate Systems Administrator

We are looking for a self-motivated, results-driven Associate Systems administrator to assist Systems Engineers with maintenance, monitoring and support of CRICO's infrastructure components and security controls. Additionally, this individual will provide 2nd and 3rd level application support to all business users and internal developers while applying the highest standards of customer service. This role reports directly to the CISO & Director of IT.

  • Responds to escalated problems pertaining to all application hardware and software products supported by the IT department
  • Mentors and serves as the point of escalation for tier 1 help desk personnel, stepping in as necessary to ensure resolution in accordance with applicable SLA’s
  • Resolves issues independently and seeks assistance or escalates more complex issues in a timely manner
  • Maintains user accounts, mailing lists, and related systems
  • Manages the desktop infrastructure through the use of automation
  • Monitors systems availability
  • Serves as Tier 2 support for Service Desk tickets
  • Conducts routine hardware and software audits to ensure compliance with existing standards, policies, and configuration guidelines
  • Assists with projects related to infrastructure and security maintenance and upgrade activities
  • Day-to-day administration of designated security controls
  • Performs root cause analysis of systems issues and consistently identifies trends and opportunities to improve the stability and usability of CRICO's systems infrastructure
  • Maintains system documentation such as access control lists for servers, shares and other resources, server/desktop hardware and software configurations and other procedural documentation
  • Maintains disaster recovery procedures and participates in DRP tests
  • Performs basic system administration functions for all applications and infrastructure components


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent required
  • 3+ years relevant experience implementing, maintaining, and supporting both server hardware and software in a complex environment
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server administration including components such as print, security and IIS
  • Basic understanding of TCP/IP networking concepts
  • Familiarity with enterprise backup strategies
  • Experience with AD group, user, and computer management
  • Experience with one or more scripting or programming languages in support of automating common tasks
  • Experience with backup technologies such as VEAAM Backup and Replication suite
  • Experience using and managing the ServiceNOW platform preferred
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Exchange platform, preferably Exchange 365
  • Experience in the insurance, medical malpractice, or healthcare industry preferred
