Job Description
Salary: $62,400 + Earned Incentive DOE

Job Purpose:

The Business Development Representative is responsible for developing and maintaining referral business and direct sales for CRBR through consistent daily business sales activities;

Strategic selling to target clients both Commercial and Residential, responding to fire disasters, involvement in the industry with Associations and Networking Groups, administrative follow-up with CRBR CRM software, working closely with CRBR Production Teams, leadership within the Branch and achievement monitored by performance metric.

Additionally, the BDR is responsible to maintain business relationships for CRBR that may or may not be the direct result of the BDR’s efforts. These are CRBR relationships where the BDR will play a role and work with management on that focus.

The position requires a high level and understanding of Social Media channels and Internet aptitude.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Sales Participation

  • Accountable for increasing and targeting new jobs/work that contributes to the development of increased revenues monthly.
  • It is both a “sales hunting” position and relationship driven position that also requires account maintenance for CRBR.
  • Strategic focus on Commercial work and Fire Disasters within the community.
  • The BDR will be expected to meet and/or exceed the standards set by CRBR for the minimum yearly Revenue Performance Goal (See BDR Incentive Agreement).
  • Responsible for maintaining the sales data in the company’s CRM software.
  • BDR will be involved in the branch’s Business Development Annual Sales Plan.
  • Acknowledgement and understanding of the CRBR, BDR Sales Standards.
  • Seeks information and knowledge of new issues, this includes both industry knowledge and sales related knowledge.


  • Collaborate with teammates and other divisions while maintaining a positive and professional attitude fostering teamwork.
  • Expected to be an internal and external advocate on matters concerning customer service.
  • Driven to succeed with Sales Goals and Performance.

Policy & Procedures

  • Turn in accurate and timely paperwork according to CRBR’s policies.
  • If issued a company vehicle, the BDR will be expected to adhere closely to CRBR’s Vehicle Responsibility policy.


  • Knowledge of the industry is a plus.
  • Can convey a working knowledge and successful track record of sales and marketing activity. Preferably 5+ years.
  • Must be well organized.
  • Must be available for flexible hours of work for both Event Activity, Sales Activity and Emergency response when needed. CRBR is a 24/7 Emergency Services Company. 
  • Strong Computer and CRM Software skills.
  • Working knowledge in Microsoft Office.
  • Presentation skills.
  • College degree is a plus. Especially in the Sales/Marketing/Business field.
  • Strong communication skills both internally and externally.
  • Ability to build solid long-term business relationships.
  • Professional demeanor.
  • Shows good leadership qualities.
  • Ability to develop creative solutions to problems.

Work Environment:

  • The job operates in a professional office environment and travels within assigned territory.
  • Prolonged sitting in car or office.
  • This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as: computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.


Physical Demands:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear.
  • The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use wrists, hands and/or fingers, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
  • This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office product and supplies, up to 40 pounds.
