Laboratory Technician

Position Summary:

Cradle Genomics is currently seeking a part-time Laboratory Technician to join a dynamic team focused on cell-based NIPT product development. The Laboratory Technician will support the development team with sample, reagent, and consumable receiving. As a member of the development team, this person will also perform immunostaining, cell counting, and imaging to support the achieve the company’s mission of revolutionizing prenatal testing.

Responsibilities:

  • Accessions human samples and enters data into development database/LIMS

  • Receives reagents and consumables, organizes and manages inventory and initiates order requests

  • Performs immunostaining, cell counting and imaging

  • Assists with passaging cells and preparing reagents, buffers, etc. to support the development team

  • Ensures accurate documentation of reagent preparation and cell staining experiments and provides weekly summaries of activities

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Required: Associates Degree or equivalent course work in biological or chemical sciences.

  • Preferred: Minimum of 6 months experience working in laboratory (academic or industry)

  • Ability to work 15-20 hours per week for a minimum of 6 months

  • Attention to detail and ability to follow standard operating procedures

  • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within dynamic and quick-paced environment

  • Willingness to learn and master new procedures and tasks
