Job Description

About CRA []

*Position is based in Radnor, PA

You probably have not heard of us. This is by design. We have been serving as advisors to management since 1986, and at that time we had no idea we would become one of the distinguished consulting firms of our generation. Our client list includes many of the world’s most prestigious brands, privately-held firms, and international development institutions. Most of our clients have worked continually with us for over 10 years for one simple reason: We offer innovative solutions, processes, and practices they can’t find anywhere else. More important, we stand behind our work and our clients all the way. Our firm is not an ideal fit for every engagement, prospective client, or possible team member. We eschew traditional approaches and work hard to be unconstrained by conventional wisdom. Our clients prize our ability to un-complicate the complicated and offer practical solutions to their most pressing problems. For their trust and confidence, we are grateful. We love doing this work, and we love doing it together.

At CRA, we advise large organizations and senior leaders on how to handle their toughest institutional communication problems, and ideal candidates will have a background in the social sciences and an interest in organizational communication. An undergraduate degree is required, and we believe intellect and street-smarts count as much as, if not more than, pedigree.

This is an entry-level job in our firm with a promotion pathway to Consultant, Managing Director, and Partner roles. As an Analyst you will manage calendars and scheduling, book and monitor travel, read current books and write book summaries for distribution to the firm and our clients, and over time, receive the mentorship in writing, relational acuity, professionalism, and basic advisory skills necessary for promotion to a Consultant role. This is an up-or-out role, and promotion typically occurs after 12 months, but not always. In the event that promotion is unlikely but service is exemplary, you will exit the firm with the full support of the firm in finding your next position.

Do not underestimate this role as it is not simply an administrative job. Our practice is the best in the world in our field. As an Analyst you will work with the front-offices and leaders from sterling organizations including Dell, McDonald’s, Morgan Stanley, Charles Schwab, Levi Strauss, the World Bank, and the European Investment Bank. You will have a front-row view into the acquisition and execution of challenging consulting engagements, including the authoring and communication of corporate strategy, leadership transitions, acquisitions, divestitures, and all manner of institutional change. You will receive daily feedback and mentorship directly from your Managing Directors and your colleagues about every element of your professional capabilities, all intended to make you better and prepare you for promotion.

For a person with drive, ethics, intellect, curiosity, relational skills, entrepreneurial mindset and a commitment to excellence, this role is a pathway to a career of unusual professional freedom, capability, prosperity, and collegiality. CRA is a firm with a strong commitment to excellence, relationships, and collegiality. Please do not apply for this job if you do not want to work as hard as you’ve probably ever worked, challenge yourself intellectually, move fast, get coached, and expand the boundaries of your potential. But if you want to do your best, become your best, work side-by-side with the best, and advise the best, then please do apply. We would look forward to working with you in this role and those that follow.
