Your role will be a blend of:

Leadership, Performance, Tenant Relations: The Director of Property Management will lead a team comprised of Property Managers, Maintenance Technicians, and Leasing Agents and will be responsible for the overall performance of the Property Management team. The ultimate goal of the position is to improve the overall leasing process, increase collections, manage vendors/partnerships, and ensure the property management experience for tenants/owners is up to the CR of Maryland standard.

The position requires one to take extreme ownership of team performance, including but not limited to KPI management and reporting, goal setting and strategic thinking, budget management, and team development. The Director will take pride in representing the company in a professional manner, and will make all decisions based on the betterment of the company and the neighborhoods/tenants we serve.

$100,000 - $150,000


  • Effectively manage a team of Property Managers, Technicians, 3rd party contractors, and vendor/partner relationships
  • Establish overall departmental goals and KPIs and promote team accountability
  • Develop and maintain reporting package for departmental KPIs including but not limited to occupancy, collections, maintenance tickets, turnovers, etc.
  • Coach and lead Property Managers to ensure portfolio is rented to its fullest capacity
  • Teaching Property Managers, and Leasing Agents marketing strategies to secure prospective residents
  • Manage applicant review process to ensure highest quality tenants are being accepted
  • Continually monitor and analyze traffic logs, conversion ratios, renewal information, marketing data, etc., to be able to give up-to-date and proper information when requested by others
  • Communicate with local housing authorities to ensure proper compliance and relationship development
  • Confirm all leases and corresponding paperwork are completed and input to the software system accurately and on a timely basis
  • Ensure all administrative paperwork, including late rent filings are completed by the Property Managers accurately, and submitted on a timely basis
  • Make departmental decisions when it comes to maintenance handling and resident concerns and requests
  • Ensure efficiency of staff through ongoing training, instruction, counseling, and leadership
  • Plan weekly/daily office staff schedules and assignments
  • Provide support to staff to encourage teamwork and lead as an example in creating a harmonious environment.
  • Ensure all administrative processes involving personnel are handled on a timely basis (i.e., performance evaluations, salary reviews, timesheets, change of status forms, etc.)


  • A minimum of 10 years in Property Management (5+ years of supervisory experience in a customer service-related business with appropriate certification(s) will also be considered)

  • Knowledge or experience of affordable housing authorities and protocol is a plus
  • Propertyware experience is a plus
