VETERINARIAN ASSISTANT

Cove Mountain Animal Hospital is a full-service fast-paced veterinary medical facility located in Duncannon, Pennsylvania, approximately 20 miles north of Harrisburg. We provide veterinary care to Marysville, Harrisburg, Dauphin, Newport, New Bloomfield, and all surrounding areas. We are currently looking for experienced veterinary technicians!

Job requirements:

· Lifting at least 50 pounds

· Standing for long periods of time

· Ability to multitask

· Team player

· Basic computer skills

· Excellent communication skills 

Duties include but are not limited to:

· Restraining of animal

·  Assisting in surgeries

· Maintaining anesthesia patients

· Drawing blood

· Lab work

· Radiology

· Answering phones

· Filling prescriptions

· Understanding medical records

· Learning Cornerstone system (our software program)

· Invoicing and receiving payments from clients

· Discharging patients and providing clients with detailed instructions for care

· Providing support to clients and staff

· Learning about the different products our practice carries 

Other information / requirements: 

· Working hours are Monday – Friday, with Thursday off and no weekends

· High School Diploma / GED equivalent combination of educational and/or experience

· NON LVT / CVT should have a minimum of 2 years working experience
