Position Purpose:

The Universal Associate III will support CCF by developing and nurturing relationships with our membership and working diligently to find real positive solutions for their financial needs. They will utilize their strong product knowledge to promote, educate, and cross-sell financial products and services to meet the current and future financial needs of our members. Offers appropriate products/services to deepen member relationships with CCF in accordance with CCF's goals and growth targets. Serves as a professional representative of the credit union through all member interactions and ensures each member receives outstanding member service by performing within CCF’s vision, mission, goals, and living our service promises through inbound calls, outbound calls, email, and in-person interactions.

What You'll Do In This Role:

  • Utilizes a consultative interview process with each interaction to identify opportunities and deliver creative financial solutions, including, but not limited to facilitating the HELOC, mortgage lending, and IRA processes, opening and maintaining accounts (both consumer and business), processing consumer loan applications, Credit Insurance, GAP, and MBP and other duties as assigned to deepen the member relationship with CCF. Educates members on benefits of products and services offered by CCF. Includes calculating loan terms, rates, amount financed, and payment amounts with all eligible insurance coverages.
  • Processes transactions, updates account information, and documents member interviews in our core system promptly, efficiently, and accurately with close attention to detail.  
  • Meet and exceed established individual and branch goals under CCF’s Sales and Service Plan, including meeting volume participation requirements for the sale of ancillary products such as Credit Insurance, GAP, and MBP.
  • Researches member issues and situations and collaborates with internal departments, as necessary, to resolve concerns 
  • Foster cooperation, teamwork, and frequent communication with the Centralized Lending and Centralized Funding staff to ensure seamless service for our membership. Follows-up through the loan closing process. 
  • Ability to meet or exceed the established acceptable score on all performance reviews.
  • Participate actively in monthly sales meetings and call nights.
  • Perform department related support duties, to include, but not limited to scanning, faxes, daily reports, etc.
  • Ability to work within all CU policies and operating procedures.
  • Be a Utility Player by performing other duties and responsibilities as required or assigned.

What You'll Bring To This Role:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a proactive sales position and an additional 2 years minimum in a banking/credit union environment opening accounts and taking loan applications.  
  • Familiarity with mortgage and equity products and IRA’s preferred.
  • Ability to act as a role model as demonstrated by professional business appearance, enthusiastic tone and demeanor, and exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent. College degree preferred.   
  • Basic mathematical aptitude.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Proven sales aptitude.
  • Working proficiency in a Microsoft Office environment.
  • Ability to be bonded. 
  • Ability to obtain and MLO registered status on the Federal Registry.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain notary designation.

Monday- Thursday 8:45AM to 5:15PM; Friday 8:45AM to 6:15PM; Rotating Saturdays 8:45AM to Noon.
