Compassionate Wellness Center, LLC in Hagerstown, MD is looking for one social worker to join our 12 person strong team. We are located on 44 N Potomac St. Our ideal candidate is attentive, punctual, and reliable.
CWC is currently seeking a full time, part time, contractual Substance Abuse Counselors and Social Workers and Professional Counselors to join our integrated outpatient mental health center. Compassionate Wellness Center, LLC is a CARF accredited OMHC serving Washington County and surrounding areas. Our Comprehensive Treatment Center is unique in that we provide a variety of services for individuals working on mental health matters through individual and group therapy; and goal setting and learning life skills through our psychiatric rehabilitation. These services are for clients ages 5 and up.
Our substance abuse services range from addiction counseling, individual and group therapy, Level 1 ambulatory withdrawal and detox services (MAT medication assisted treatment) for individuals struggling with addiction with plans to start spiritual support soon.
Moreover, to complement the above blend of therapies and services, we promote the use of safe and effective medication management, as needed, Palliative Medicine providing a multidisciplinary approach to patients with pain and other symptoms and Advanced Care Planning.
We emphasize a multidisciplinary approach to the care of the person and recently added a spiritual component to our care with a Pastor running our spiritual group using the Celebrate Recovery Model.
Who are we looking for: We are looking for LCADC, CAC, AD, CSC-AD, LMSW, LGPC.
Conducts individual counseling sessions and document as required; group and/or family sessions, and documents as required; • Facilitate assigned group or family sessions ; Perform initial assessment and follow up assessment; • Prepares individual treatment plans for each assigned patient; • Ensures all documentation regarding patient care, treatment and incidents is completed timely and in a clear and concise manner; • May act as a liaison between referral sources and patients; • Provides crisis intervention to patients, as needed; • Complete discharge summaries upon discharge; • Evaluates patient's needs and determines if referrals to other programs or facilities as needed•
As an LMSW you must have completed a Masters Level Social Work program and successfully passed the licensing exam;
An LGPC must have completed a Master’s level Professional Counseling Degree program and successfully pass the licensing exam;
An LCADC who holds a master's degree or a doctoral degree. The degree should be in a counseling-related health or human service field. Graduate degrees in other areas may be accepted if the candidate has completed an equivalent program. In this instance, fully 51 counseling credits must be documented;
A CAC-AD must have a bachelors degree in a qualifying health and human services field, and must have at least 21 semester hours of coursework in drug and alcohol counseling and one hour in ethics. This is a supervised position (supervision hours are provided by the employer);
A CSC-AD must have an associates degree and course wok in substance abuse as prescribed by the MD Board of Substance Abuse Counselors. This is supervised position (supervision hours are provided by the employer)
