We are a rapidly growing organization in the Carlstadt, NJ area seeking to hire a Maintenance Mechanic Supervisor to join our progressive team of professionals. The ideal candidate will be responsible for but not limited to the following:
Provides direction, expertise, work plans, and compliance reviews for all maintenance work for assigned area/shift
Eliminates all causes of failure and ensure full useful life in coordination with daily maintenance completed
Experience with Machine Hydraulics, Electrical Components and Water System
Leads activities of workers engaged in repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment
Provides technical and problem-solving support for the plant and maintenance crews
Supports and executes plant specific maintenance strategies to achieve Plant key performance goals for overall maintenance performance
Assures production schedules are met and all issues are resolved and communicated in a timely fashion
Reviews production, quality control, and maintenance reports and statistics to plan and modify maintenance activities
Use problems solving skills and root cause analysis to resolve and/or mitigate maintenance issues
Identifies opportunities to eliminate cost and/or waste through applying LEAN manufacturing principals and documents best practices
Responsible for reporting food safety and quality issues and initiate action, as necessary
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Previous Maintenance Supervisor experience in a food or manufacturing automation environment preferred
Understanding of predictive and preventative maintenance processes required
Working knowledge of inventory management and procurement processes preferred
Project management – ability to see job through to completion with attention to detail in a timely manner.
Ability to work within a team concept. Flexibility is an asset.
Strong machining skills are desirable.
Strong safety record.
Good attendance and dependability a must.
Must have computer skills to look up part location/availability on computer using maintenance software.
Ability to communicate with other mechanics and be able to explain mechanical processes and theory.
