OVERVIEW: The Senior Financial Analyst, under the direction and in partnership with the Manager of FP&A, will be responsible for the preparation and development of budget and forecast models as well as select schedules related to our monthly financial reporting packages. Additionally, the Senior Financial Analyst will play an integral role in the development of revenue and labor analysis to support operational objectives. The successful candidate will work with the Regional Operating Directors to ensure accurate and meaningful communication of financial results. Additional duties will include ad hoc analysis for operations, support functions for the implementation of new financial system applications and supporting analysis for potential acquisitions as needed. This is a hybrid remote position and candidates must be able to work on-site in El Segundo at least 2 days a week.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Prepare monthly financial reporting packages for our Operations team inclusive of explanations to variances versus budget, and labor analysis
•Contribute to the development and maintenance of rolling forecast models and the annual operating budget
•Preparation of select schedules and PowerPoint slides for the Board
•Discuss the contents of financial results with the operations team and propose process improvements in collaboration with the Manager of FP&A
•Work with the Operations and Development team to gain an understanding of newly acquired and legacy hospitals as they impact our consolidated forecast
•Participate and be a contributor in the development and maintenance of new and existing financial system applications
•Effectively communicate with various teammates in different departments on topics related to financial goals and analysis
•Ability to work on-site in El Segundo at least 2 days a week

COMPETENCIES AND EXPERIENCE:
•Advanced financial modeling experience
•Effective multi-tasking capability and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline driven, start-up environment
•Proven self-starter with business acumen and analytical, quantitative, accounting, and problem-solving skills
•Exceptional communication skills preferably in areas related to communications with stakeholders and operational groups
•Ability to think critically and creatively
•Experience with multisite healthcare or retail businesses preferred
•Experience in the Veterinary industry a plus
•Experience working with private equity sponsors and portfolio companies a plus

EDUCATION AND TRAINING:
•Bachelor's degree, preferably in finance, accounting, or economics; CPA and/or MBA a plus
•2+ years of experience in in FP&A, Financial Reporting, and/or Accounting

COMPUTER SKILLS:
•Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel
•Comfortable working in Microsoft Office
•Experience with NetSuite and/or NSPB a plus
•Experience with EPM systems and/or Business Intelligence tools a plus

LOCATION:
•Hybrid role with the requirement to work from the corporate office in El Segundo, CA at least two days per week, depending on the business need
