Job Description

 Our client, a pharmaceutical manufacturer, is seeking a Plant Manager.

Salary: $125-135K (maybe slightly more)


• B.S. in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Science or related field

• Management experience leading large scale, GMP based organization required

• Minimum of 10 years of pharmaceutical experience with increasing responsibility

• Vast understanding of GMP and ability to identify projects to enhance compliance   

   across the organization

• Ability to successfully lead, communicate and develop staff

• Ability to manage individual and team projects



• Develop and maintain an effective organization through recruitment, selection, training

   and coaching of all plant staff

• Direct the functional area leadership to ensure that performance goals are met

• Provide leadership for problem resolution by leveraging cross-functional resources

• Plan the use of facilities, equipment, and personnel to meet current and future

   production goals

• Monitor operating conditions and production schedules weekly to ensure customer

   service levels and product quality

• Communicate operational status with the Sr VP of Operations

• Initiate various programs that lead to improved product quality, procedures, processes

   and staff development while reducing waste and minimizing COGs where applicable

• Direct and support activities that provide assurance that safety, health and

   environmental rules and regulations are met or exceeded

• Direct department managers in the preparation and implementation of plant operating

   plans and strategies consistent with business requirements

• Maintain up to date knowledge on GMP, operational efficiencies and other topics

   deemed important to support continued organizational growth

• Identify, communicate and drive implementation of capital investments and

   improvement projects in a collaborative way with Finance, QA and other

   organizational support groups

• Provide expertise in the developments of standards of performance in all areas of

   manufacturing operations

• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations issued by the FDA, CHPA,

   Food & Safety, DHEC, OSHA and any applicable regulatory organizations

• Perform any other additional tasks as assigned my senior management
