Job Description

Chief Information Officer

Responsible for IT strategy and computer systems development to support company and its clients’ unique IT objectives and goals. Specific duties include but are not limited to:

Essential Duties

  • Providing strategic technology leadership across a multitude of IT projects and deliver technology planning, creation and execution of IT project implementation;
  • Holding, developing, articulating, and continually evolving the company’s strategic technical direction;
  • Making sure the company continues to have the best technology offerings in a dynamically-evolving highly-competitive space;
  • Setting objectives and strategies for the IT department;
  • Selecting and implementing suitable technology to streamline all internal operations and help optimize our strategic benefits;
  • Planning the implementation of new systems and provide guidance to IT professionals and other staff within the organization;
  • Overseeing the technological infrastructure (networks and computer systems) in the organization to ensure optimal performance;
  • Managing information technology related development projects to ensure client satisfaction through building, managing and coordinating the overall program/project plan, project organizational structure, schedule and customer relationship requirement; 
  • Determining project scope, system scope, and objectives based on both user needs and a thorough understanding of the business system requirements for each individual customer;
  • Effectively communicating and work with analysts, developers, and senior-level management across the company in a fast-paced environment; motivating IT team members possessing a variety of skillsets;
  • Providing timely reporting to management regarding status, risks, and issues;
  • Preparing the documentation of Standard Operating Procedures; and
  • Performing other responsibilities will be assigned by the president or CEO to whom the CIO reports in order to meet organization's goals and objectives.

Minimum Requirements: 

  • Bachelor in Computer Science and two years of experience in software development or related. 
  • Must have experience in Medicaid cost reporting solutions, software development and implementing IT projects with DC Government; Expertise in technology architecture
  • Software development life cycle models (Agile, Waterfall and Prototype). 
  • Skills in Dot Net, C#, ADO.Net, MVC and SQL Server database, IBM Rational Tools ClearCase and ClearQuest along with CSS3, Bootstrap, HTML5, XML, XSLT,AJAX, Rest API, SOAP, Jason Data and IIS.
