Assistant Clinical Director/Behavior Specialist

We are seeking an Assistant Clinical Director/Behavior Specialist to become a part of our team! You will coordinate and assist the Clinical Director in the development, delivery, and monitoring of Agency Psychology services.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure appropriate implementation of Psychology programs and therapies through ongoing observations, meetings, and information-sharing with staff, Clinical Assistants, Program Managers, and Coordinators, as assigned.
  • In coordination with the Clinical Director provide training and supervision to clinical staff, conduct their respective performance evaluations: and implement disciplinary procedures as necessary.
  • Assist in the collection, interpretation, summarizing and graphing of data as assigned by the Clinical Director.
  • Uphold all guiding principles of Positive Behavior Support as guided and assigned by the Clinical Director.
  • Assist and train staff in implementation of all behavioral/therapy programs and crisis intervention procedures and evaluate program efficacy.
  • Assist in the development and ensure the completion of service documentation requirements including, but not limited to, data collection, progress notes, support strategies, annual and semi-annual assessments and reports.
  • Assist in ongoing staff training through Behavior Review Meetings, focusing on positive behavioral support strategies.
  • Conduct individual therapy programs, including counseling, relaxation therapy, and other skills training programs.
  • Implement procedures for ensuring that all behavioral programs/therapies are based on individual competencies and needs, and are reflective of rights and dignity, in conformance with Agency philosophy.
  • Participate in medication/psychiatric review process through data summaries, anecdotal reporting and attendance at meetings, as assigned by Clinical Director.
  • Provide therapeutic interventions related to developing social skills, general relaxation, identifying coping skills and positive replacement behavior.
  • Ensure timely and periodic communication of relevant information to external parties including but not limited to: DDS and Public School personnel, parents/guardians, and Residential or Day Program providers, as applicable.
  • Provide corrective feedback to Program staff relative to implementation of behavioral/therapy programs.
  • Serve as liaison between Agency and outside mental health providers, as necessary. Attend appointments as needed ensuring current behavioral and nursing data is available.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • At least one of the following (licenses must be active in MA):
    • Licensed Behavior Analyst (LABA)
    • Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCCBA)
    • Psychologist
    • Clinical social worker
    • Applied Behavior Analyst (ABA)
    • Masters level Speech Pathologist (SLP)
    • Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC)
    • Master in Education with a certificate in Special EducatioN
  • Three years training in functional based behavioral assessments
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license, a safe driving record, and an agreement to use one’s personal vehicle for business purposes if so required.
  • Three years of experience working with people with developmental disabilities.
  • Acceptable Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI) and fingerprint check.
